Is that even what's happening? I still don't know why Aerith is in the game apart from Alex loving FFVII, and I thought the Satoru Iwata grave was in Wind Town? Unless that's where this is but I don't think it was. I feel like I'm going crazy lol

I actually think the Aerith praying on Semi's grave bit is a clever joke because it’s making intertextual commentary on Alex’s futile quest to find this missing woman he obsesses over and how it parallels FFVII players in the 90s who were convinced there was a way to revive Aerith hidden in the game
