Welp, I guess I'm here now. \o_,__O/ Super new here, so please feel free to drop me a word & tell me something about yourself. Show me that cool thing you've been working on! Ok, I'll start: I'm a full time English writer based in the Netherlands. PS: This goes without saying, but I follow back.

That looks intriguing. Thanks for sharing with us! Wishing you the very best of luck in your writing journey. Your artwork looks so pretty. Particularly love the use of colours and fonts. <3

We're British/Dutch as in she (I) am Dutch and we both work and write in the UK. We share music, travels, and movies on our YouTube channel and our articles, poetry, and book (The Codex File by Miles Etherton - more books to follow) through Substack and Medium. Nice to meet you! 🌷

It IS a small world, Caz! 🤗 Honestly, what were the odds? My office is in Enschede, but I live in the sleepy village of Denekamp, right at the border with Germany. (I hope I won't accidentally dox myself with this information) July/August is 💯 the perfect time/weather to visit! 🌷🌷🌷

Louise, i just saw your reply. I think being generous as an author is critical to building readership. I'm testing out a new strategy by giving away printed copies of the Wind Witch of Draakenksy short story (prequel to the novel) at a local bookshop that has the novel. We'll see how that develops.

I have a book about angels I published called “Heaven’s Blade,” it is a story that takes place entirely in heaven. I’ve been working on my art style for my next book using Heaven’s Blade as the inspiration.

Welcome aboard. I am working on my sixth book of The Roman Sky series. The series is an alternative history genre I call Gaspunk as it is set in a 6th century that has airships, based on a missed opportunity in our history. Writing is my third career.

That's some mighty fine book resume you have there, John. Thanks for sharing.♥️ I imagine Alternate History is a particularly challenging genre to write. Takes an ungodly amount of research to make it all period-accurate, & at the same time, deviate just enough to show a different branch of history.

Hi, Louise. I'm also attempting to be a writer. Toughest thing I have tried. Working on my memoir, and a fiction. Right now its edits after edits to get it right. The the dreaded query letter and proposal. Lol.

I finally bit the bullet. I dumped ye olde Twitter like a bad X. (pun intended). After 10 years & thousands of friends (some of which became my best friends IRL), I put my password on shuffle & logged off forever. It was bad enough when they removed my legacy verification. Now the Algo is broken.😔

I tilt my hat to you, Nicola. You did what I (physically) could not. I had thousands of posts, many of which on other people's timelines. It would have been an impossible feat to erase every trace of my presence. Plus, I didn't want X using my exact name & likeness for their nefarious AI scripts. 👎

There was a gap between DL'ing and finally deleting. At first I thought "maybe I'll go back to it". Then Elon did his salute and NOPE! I'd been on Twitter nearly 10y and ran 2 different writing prompts on there. But eff that app.

Yes, I was verified for a month.😄I didn't even ask for the check (my publisher must've done something, idk). It was just there someday. Then I got hit with the famous "pay up or we remove it" message. I noped right out of that one, so it vanished. I probably won't bother this time around either.😄

I left there too. The place was amazing, and all of a sudden, it was like screaming into a void. Broken algorithm for everyone who didn't pay the twitter blue subscription. My pixel art started to go by unnoticed. My top followers couldn't see a single thing from me anymore.

Howdy! Welcome to the sky. I’m currently very eagerly awaiting my editor to send me her edits on Jonah of Olympic, the third story in my Mercedes Masterson Detective Stories series.

Wonderful to meet you, Nat! (I'm so sorry about the belated reply. I completely missed your reply) Looks like you've been exceptionally productive with your detective series. Congrats on completing another story & the very best of luck with "Jonah of Olympic". Wishing you a successful release! ♥️

Thanks. No problem about the delayed response. I do have the story back and plan to have the editing done by the end of the week. How cool is that? By being late to reply you get to see me go from eagerly waiting to doing the work in a flash. 😂
