What I learned building BlackTwist this month.

Most of what I did wasn't glamorous. I fixed 31 tiny bugs, rewrote one onboarding email twice, and deleted more code than I wrote.

The feature I'm proudest of makes the app 3% more helpful for the people who already pay us. Nobody new signs up because of it. The ones who signed up stay one month longer.

Retention is cheaper than acquisition and nobody talks about it because it's not a marketing post : )
