If you ask for black coffee and the cashier asks if you want cream or sugar I promise it's not because the cashier thinks you're stupid or because the cashier is stupid. It's because the cashier regularly has to deal with people who ask for "black coffee" and then complain there's no cream or sugar

The bit from Angela Collier's latest video about how "Any time a service worker does something weird, it's because somebody has yelled at them before" is something i think everybody should take to heart
