From what i saw of the new OoT trailer im very excited. The world looks so alive and atmospheric. Like im in a fairytale. And im glad they chose atmosphere over realism. The original OoT used the limitations of the N64 to create a unique visual style inregards to character design. And that style

Contributed to its charm. I like that these new characters models have updated graphics and detail but didn’t sacrifice that angular look. Making the characters still have that stylistic low poly look. But look at link’s tunic it so detailed not just in graphical clarity but in costuming . The

Culture of the kokiri is shown through his clothes. The embroidery and the stitching styles speak so much about the culture the fact that parts of his tunic look like their are made from leaves is so cool and interesting. Fantasy can be a beautiful way of exploring and showing multiculturalism.

And the atmospheric clutter is so nice. It feels so alive and real. The forest feels like and ecosystem. And so does the town, And the garudo town. This feels like a storybook which the more linear narrative benefits from.

And if i saw what in think i saw. Whole regions / maps are redesigned and reimagined. Which makes me excited on what else they could have added.

Look at my beautiful boy sheik officially playing the Skyward sword goddess harp. I know they updated it to resemble it shape wise in the 3ds remaster. But now there is no denying its the exact same harp. Which if they are willing to retcon that visual design i can only hope ☺️
