Maybe motivational thread for folks going to TwitchCon: The first time I attended TwitchCon as an established creator, I walked the floor with a plan. I had accomplishments I was proud of and a pitch prepared. Even so, I had vendors look me in the eye and tell me I was a liar, I was too small to

talk to, and I wasn't worth their time. Those that were kind didn't return my followup e-mails. I felt so worthless, and I avoided cons for ages. All it took was one company giving me a chance--@fractalofficial.bsky.social --at a small local convention. I've learned, changed, and grown personally.

Four or five years later, I can now confidently walk a floor. I make real connections based on genuine interest. I am confident in my content and worth. The companies who look at you and scoff don't deserve your time, and not every nice representative you talk to will see you as a good fit.
