Extremely jelly of everyone who have a set of clear, measurable, computable metrics that define their tasks as “done” No 12 hour autonomous agent runs for designers who live in the tight feedback loop 😭

This is why I always day dream of leaving tech to be a mechanic. Fixing real things in the real world, and if it doesn't work, the car won't drive.

Unfortunately agents all have *awful* design taste. Even when when supplied with detailed skill files on what I consider good design, there is still so much that can't be put into words: animations, interactions, taste, visual language. They faceplant in every category :(

I wonder if the gap is that design taste is partly about what *not* to do, and agents don't have a good prior for restraint. They optimize for completeness, not editing down.

I was mostly kidding. I’m confident you could get 12 hours of autogrind by putting an agent in for feedback instead of a human. But I’m also confident the feedback would be low quality for all the reasons you say, so that wouldn’t achieve anything useful.
