I am using s/mime instead of PGP, because its much easier to handle. PGP is for nerds.

GPG Suite is probably the least annoying if you want Apple Mail on macOS to feel native. iOS is still the rough part with PGP though, so for phone/tablet use I’d honestly stick to webmail or a mail client that handles it directly.
