We built stac-map, a lightweight, map-first prototype for exploring STAC GeoParquet in your browser. Built w/ DuckDB, geoarrow, & semantic STAC search, explore STAC GeoParquet files directly in the browser. Try it: developmentseed.org/stac-map/ Blog: ds.io/stac-map @gadom.ski @indraneel.org

Curious if companies that index data in STAC are also (only) exporting to stac geoparquet or if this is something you would first generate as an end user.

I think the primary use case would/should be data providers creating and statically serving stac-geoparquet End users can use stac-geoparquet as a smaller, more useful export format (you can do this now in stac-map from a search) but this is a bit more niche
