google gemini saved my house and probably my life. during research about some new circuits i need, gemini urged me to immediately remove a specific circuit breaker from my electrical panel even though i wasn’t have an issue with this particular 60 amp breaker i’m glad i took its advice

A lot of the newer stuff has high frequency arc detection. Modern devices with high amperage solid state components (inverters used in heat pumps for example) can cause high frequency arcing that can go undetected and start fires.

my electric panel is by crouse-hinds, which is now owned by eaton. when i added a new 60 amp circuit 3 years ago, all sources were telling me that a specific eaton breaker was compatible with my panel. it’s been in place for THREE YEARS

i’m putting in a new heat pump at home and need three new circuits. gemini was helping me build a parts list and recommended specific siemens breakers for my panel. when i asked why not just use certain eaton breakers like i was already using, it basically threw a fit

it told me that even though the eaton breaker fit and crouse-hinds was now owned by eaton, that there was a micro gap between the breaker contacts and the panel tab which would cause micro arcing and to remove it immediately and i’ll be damned, IT WAS CORRECT!
