What's the best way to find a new business mentor? No one knows what I do or seems all that interested in learning about how what I do is different. I end up with useless advice like "increase cash flow."

The standard answer is check out score.org. I'm an entrepreneurship professor, but I know that you don't need the standard advice. I think the best way is to find people whose careers you want to emulate or who have built stores you want to shop at and reach out to them.

That seems smart. I have a few artistic inspirations but not many specific business models I look up to. Time to change that and talk to the folks who did em.

If I've learned anything in my 15 years of researching entrepreneurs is that you can't shut them up about their business. Just get them talking and figure out what you can apply to your own world.
