I think Apple are geo-fencing or whatever. From Australia on Apple maps I see Lake Ontario, but it is labelled such north of the border. Google has both labels, stupidly. Because they are flaccid AND spineless, apparently.

When I 'googled' Apple Maps this morning, theirs still showed Lake Ontario... I see another one bites the dust... goddamn shame... I checked Waze too but their bodies of water aren't named at all. Nice and neutral like I like it. Doesn't matter, already switched to the Mapquest app.

I appreciate what you guys are trying to do but you will cave as well if you keep growing at this pace. It’s not logical to be a geopolitical authority. I hope I am wrong but the world is a complicated place. This isn’t just a name dispute from a toddler dictator.

Yes, but now they are picking up steam. They are the top free app on the App Store and have been featured by many news outlets. With that much attention the company needs to grow up fast. They will quickly realize why Google & Apple had to change it.
