it's MA reference season again. one university has asked me to rate one of my students on 22 different scales, including "commitment to public/community service" and "energy and drive". (i'm doing it, obviously, but who designed this?)

An overenthusiastic MBA in HR Admin called in by Student Engagement to design a survey, who pulled up the first hit in SurveyMonkey, and passed it through some AI to disguise it.

i'm torn between whether it's that (plausible!) or every year they add another question ("we're worried the students we're recruiting aren't <x> enough")
