Mark Wilkinson on Mythryl: “I have been working on integrating background processing and queuing…”

I have been working on integrating background processing and queuing for JobRelay. I am using the Delicious Brains repo for this. github.com/deliciousbra... I am struggling to understand the difference between an "Async" request and a "Background process". Can anyone help?
