AISI, the UK evaluators, were reckless in past tests. They deliberately gave models internet access, which led to open-source maintainers being harassed in an attempted supply chain attack. Possibly related?

There are many many stories here. One of them, is that this is straight out of the tobacco & fossil fuel playbook. Have the same companies and billionaires fund "independent" institutes staffed by the same people, and "cite" their reports as "independent experts" showing "consensus."🧵
