Going from a place where people are nice, and seem to actually obey traffic laws to whatever we are doing in Nashville is a huge whiplash. Anyways I'm lucky my dog decided to smell something and made me stop so an asshole could run through a 4 way stop on our walk.

basically why have stop signs? or police at this point? its not like stop signs do anything. Most people are doing the "if I slow down enough, it looks like I stopped" before pushing the gas pedal through the floor just to get to the next stop sign. And this is right by a school zone.

and I mean the police. lol "Nashville guardians" more like "Nashville's tourist guardians" maybe. If we were a serious city, we'd just start installing speed cushions. Stop with this "get 4 neighbors to ask nicely". Just do it.

I had to slam on my brakes in the middle of an intersection (with a stop light where I had a green) because a cop decided he needed to whip a u-turn in front of me. No lights, no siren, I just assume they just wanted to turn around and couldn't be bothered to do it right

but we aren't a serious city. We are an illusion of a serious city. And the illusion pops the minute you go to cities where they actually do things.

I often wonder if we just spam the hell out of hubnashville for traffic improvements on specific streets they would just do it without the NIMBY and anti-renter "traffic calming" BS.
