I joined the James River Association to learn more about the return of Atlantic sturgeon to the James and the work that has helped bring this endangered species back. During our tour, we spotted several sturgeon leaping from the river near the Chesterfield power station.

Aging infrastructure and water withdrawals can put added pressure on water quality and the habitat sturgeon depend on. If we want to protect the progress we have made, we have to keep investing in the infrastructure that keeps our rivers and communities healthy.
