We were taught in primary school how terrible censorship was in the Soviet Union and China. It was supposed to show how lucky we were to have a free press in America. Fast forward to 2026 under tRump — the free press is dying.

When my dad was stationed in Germany with the Canadian Forces, the Stars and Stripes was our main news paper. I still have some articles I cut out then... that was in the late 60s. It had excellent journalists

tRump didn't like them being too truthful, or they published a cartoon that hut his tin skin. One of the things they did must have pissed him off.
