Trump’s new 50% tariffs on Canadian goods target a wide range of consumer & industrial products, including wine, hockey sticks, cement, paper products, & toys. Other targeted items include dairy products (milk, cream), malt beer, spirits (vodka, rum, whisky), wooden tableware, candles, & dog leashes

Targeted agricultural and industrial inputs include seeds, floriculture/orchid plants, animal products, plywood/softwood lumber (often used for farm buildings), and manufacturing or auto parts. Additionally, replacement machinery imported from Canada is impacted.

Canada has been dealing with Trump‘s open hostility and aggression for going on two years and has shown they be just fine as they adjust to a world without the United States as a partner. The only allies Trump think he needs are authoritarian regimes. He is so wrong.
