I don't really have any sympathy here, if these companies are putting tens of millions of dollars worth of cargo into lowest-bidder trucks with no *real* security (like guards riding shotgun in the truck cab) then they deserve what they get for being lazy and cheap.

ALL OF THIS could be solved by: 1. Picking up a phone to ensure you're dealing with the real company. 2. Putting a guard in the cab with the driver. If you want to put $10m worth of cargo into a de facto DoorDash truck, you deserve what you get.
