Kia ora Jess, it's impossible to say for certain whether this will end up being the coldest part of the year, and more cold snaps are possible. But given how extreme this cold snap has been, there is a decent chance we will not see anything colder.

🧊 Despite also having some very cold days, the South Island never quite got into record breaking territory. Christchurch got down to -5 two days in a row, but their records are a couple degrees colder.
