You mean "at the time you entered"? "as soon as" means something different.

I have often wished I had such a room, including the reading chair. Perhaps also a huge bookshelf and a refrigerator and microwave so I could stay there for weeks on end.

Really, the first thing I would put in such a room would be my bed. I'd say a reading chair would be the second, but honestly, I'd just read in bed. So the second would be my gaming computer.
