Last month we celebrated a major milestone: the topping out of our future home at 65 Crutched Friars. This was a special construction marker and an occasion to recognise that Britain’s first permanent Migration Museum is now moving from vision to reality! Photos: Mike O’Dwyer

At a time when migration is too often discussed through the language of crisis and division, we will offer a place for shared stories, learning, and representation. Our museum will recognise that migration is not a footnote to British history, but part of the stories and tapestries of all of us.

The 'topping out' is a kick-start to the next phase of our very ambitious capital fundraising appeal. If you believe in the importance of building a more cohesive national conversation about migration through world-class galleries, learning spaces and more, contact us and become part of this legacy.

We are grateful to our partner and developers, Dominus whose own leadership by Sukhpal Ahluwalia reflects a migration story of entrepreneurship and contribution. Thank you also to the team at McAleer & Rushe who are delivering the building and to the City of London who awarded planning permission.
