“Go after anybody.” That’s reportedly the order ICE officers were given as they launched a 45-day surge across California, starting in our backyard.

Rather than focusing on the violent criminals Trump promised to target, the agency keeps pursuing working people, parents, and neighbors who have lived here for decades. America can secure our border, protect our citizens, and treat people with basic human dignity all at once.

That’s what our bipartisan Dignity Act does. It invests in border security, gives long-settled immigrants a fair path to earn legal status, and frees up enforcement to focus on real threats. I won’t stop fighting until we pass the Dignity Act and end this chaos in our communities.
