Some days I get the feeling that coworkers/friends/family only ever read the first half of anything I send them, and respond as if that was the whole message.

Ill text my boss "hey, just letting you know X thing happened at the store. I've already done Y about it. I figured I'd keep you informed." And she'll reply "make sure you Y about it."
