It's good to see the Carroll government promising better access to those services. Jess Wilson should do the same. We also need the federal government to improve Medicare-funded gynaecological and obstetric services, especially for those living in rural and regional areas.

I'm working on that as Deputy Chair of the parliamentary Health Committee, which is continuing its inquiry into access to and affordability of specialist medical services in Australia.
