I think they believe their ideology. They think that the bad people are the cause of all their problems, and if they deport all the bad people, the Democrats will never have the votes to drown out the silent majority of patriots who support them doing what's necessary.

Like we should never ever ever underestimate their capacity for evil, and being brazenly willing to do evil while making aggressive eye contact and saying "lol stop me" has unfortunately proven to be depressingly effective! but! can we stop acting like these are very bright people???

they are not brilliant. the billionaires and institutions in this country are just more craven than we could have ever imagined, even in our most cynical imaginings. (don't tell me you could imagine. I won't give you a medal.)

Assuming it needs to be a sophisticated plan is a mistake. Jan 6 had them minutes away from assassinating members of Congress and the VP.
