For the most part I try to make what other folks are doing not my business. Twitter was enabling some pretty horrifying shit for a long time, but putting a "take this child actress's dress off" button on there is a level of "what the fuck are you doing on this site" that is hard to grapple with.

giving a bunch of racist, misogynist, actual nazis a button to virtually strip any person is just a depravity it is hard to fucking fathom. also I've crossed a fucking rubicon on AI tonight. If the cost of it is creating revenge porn of children and murder/suicides, WHAT IS FUCKING WORTH THAT.

(this is a less measured thread than I usually try to post, but listen. as I mention CONSTANTLY, I have a temper and zero impulse control, and honest to god I am fucking exhausted of the way folks are acting like these AI companies can't do something evil enough to deserve being shut down)
