they're not gonna just stay there happily without their chosen victims to torment. they literally can't be happy if they're not abusing us. the quickest way to punish them is to remove access to us. there's a reason even Trump can't manic post Truth Social into really mattering.

and I mean, yeah. there is a danger they will come over here to chase us down! but that is why bluesky's nuclear block and the culture of just immediately erasing them from our collective lives is so powerful and why they will spend every moment trying to lure us back to the hell site.

But none of their usual tricks work. Bluesky isn’t driven by an engagement algorithm, so they don’t get boosted by rage-farming. The blocking and muting tools are more powerful than X’s, so they end up shouting into the void. That’s why X is full of posts about Bluesky being a humourless ghost town.

and it's why just blocking them over here instead of fighting/quote dunking is the truly meanest & pettiest thing you can do to them. folks act like just blocking is some sort of act of maturity or being above it. SHIT NO, I'M SADISTICALLY TORTURING THEM WITH INVISIBILITY. They hate it SO MUCH.

Bluesky does provide us with some great tools for this. Disable repost, hide post, block. I'm trying to remind myself to hide posts before blocking someone, that way no one else sees their awfulness either.
