(I do not give a shit if JCO thinks my books are formulaic, like I'm not even mad. Also people on this site who some of you follow have said the same thing. lol)

Also formulaic is NOT necessarily easy to write! "Formulaic" covers mysteries & comics & all kinds of movies & shows. It is, in fact, HARD to write something to a strict formula that's been done hundreds of times before. To sell people a new version of something they already have & love? HARD.

TOTALLY. Friends are always telling me I should get into the Christmas romance movie writing scene, because it seems to provide endless work, and I have to tell them that that is a COMPLETELY different skill set than what I have & I have no idea how to write that. It looks very hard!
