The sequence of events following Trump's reflecting pool debacle follows a pattern characteristic of many of the president’s projects and policies. While the steps may occur in different orders, they end in roughly the same place: failure, with regular people paying the price.

I can sympathize… I’ve had a devil of a time clearing the algae from my pool this year. And I have a vinyl liner - no blue paint. I could have used a few of those taxpayer dollars to help towards cleaning my pool.

It’s never just about one project. First comes the flashy promise, then the ballooning costs, then the excuses, and in the end taxpayers are left paying for something that still isn’t finished. We’ve seen this script too many times.

Someone here did a long thread on the products used and the manufacturer’s instructions, cure times, etc. Like everything else Trump wants it had to be ASAP. Shortcuts were probably taken and mistakes made.

I don't think he cares about anything except for money and the appearance of what he considers wealth and power. A lifetime of grifting. He doesn't care if things fail, he will just blame others and move on to the next money-laundering scam.

Trump, use Trump not president if you only use president. That makes it seem like it was also Biden and Obamas debacle. It's Trump and onky Trump or Donald.
