Jack Smith has taken down powerful, connected criminals before; so, when he says this is something he has not seen before... I'm like OMFG!!!

He is speaking truth. My SIL is the most ethical person I know and as a lawyer in the Office of Professional Responsibility for 22 years she left Justice 1/25 because they told her to do the investigations they wanted or leave. She left. Never did she compromise her investigations.

There‘s gotta be a happy medium between the curt, “Thanks, A, I’m B, welcome to my show,” & the more excessive Monday handoffs: chat when there’s something worth discussing (as here), but otherwise just keep it moving. LO’D gets it down: “Whaddya got, Ali?“ “[Guest teaser]!” “Looking forward to it.”
