The first plenary talk at the Bridges #MathArt conference today is by children’s book author Amy Alznauer. (archive.bridgesmathart.org/2026/bridges...) She wrote a book on Ramanujan and a new one on Marjorie Rice, which is great! You can find it here: www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/774224... (1/2)

The second plenary #MathArt talk is by Claire Moriarty, who speaks about "Semiotics, Ease, and Elegance: Oliver Byrne’s Elements of Euclid." (archive.bridgesmathart.org/2026/bridges...) It is wonderful to learn about the (historical) background of this famous and richly illustrated book. (2/2)
