Deployed a huge update for a client yesterday that re-writes their frontend to use Inertia + Rails. After working with Inertia the past couple of months, it's really been growing on me.

Inertia feels like a great middle ground between the modern frontend experience and the traditional webapp experience. It's an awesome example of having the best of both worlds.

Exactly my thoughts. The biggest part of the re-write was using Inertia + React for the chat functionality but most of the other views are still normal Rails + Hotwire and still feels like a normal Rails app.

If Inerita had existing 10 years ago and started off as the prominent way to build a React frontend I think collectively we could have saved ourselves a lot of headache and complexity in webdev 😅
