I need someone who is more well versed in kernels than I am. Does this email make sense? I recently purchased a brand new Raritan DLX2 KVM. First photo is their reason for not supporting SMBv2 or SMBv3 and the other photo my device supporting "newer" TLS, @nedpyle.com ?

They may be blaming the “kernel” when in truth their whole OS is likely out of date and they don’t want to spend the resources to fix what they see as minor support issues when they have a new product coming out with a whole new updated stack. 1/n

They probably don’t have the OS expertise in house given the note about the the CPU vendor support. I’ve been in this position in the past with vendor supplier drivers in Linux. However I was able to make things work for my customers while we rebuilt our stack. We had expertise to do it though.
