I wish he was running again. He seems like this soft spoken meek man, but hes a life long educator thats used to fighting for things and isnt shy about saying “ get outa here with that nonsense”

For the life of me, I just do not understand he faux uproar from the right over trans people. I’m not trans. If you want to be trans, knock yourself out. Who fucking cares? Why are our political leaders wasting their time causing division on his issue?

It's part of the Fascist playbook. First, they select a vulnerable, marginalized group that is already hated and feared. Then they gin up more hatred and fear, to build popular support to pass laws to that group's freedom away. Lather, rinse, repeat. 1/

I'm not trans, but they have my backing as a black straight male for the simple reason that the people who are after then traditionally come after me. If they succeed in getting rid of trans folk, then they'll be emboldened to go after traditional targets, i.e., black folk and Jews.
