I've been trying a couple of streaming platform alternatives today — Twitch letting Amazon use my content to train genAI without my permission is *utterly* abhorrent to me as a creator. stream.place seemed interesting but quiet. I might actually go for a friend's smaller, more fun, boutique site.

I've been on Twitch for 5½ years now, and it's fun, and of course I opted out, but the absolute disrespect, and the fact a friend can literally make a better site than Twitch in a cave with a box of scraps, made me wonder what the heck I'm giving them a 50% cut for.
