was able to dump the original firmware by finding and exploiting vulnerabilities in the usb handling and in the vendor's isp bootloader(!) emulated, reversed the led matrix layout from the dump instead of manually tracing it, mame driver written, custom fw written

wow incredible work. been wanting to do something similar but probably woulda jumped to bypassing the original mcu 😭
