I'm wondering if the Feds could keep the tariff money &, in lieu of "giving it back to corps", issue a moratorium on Sales Taxes, either for (a) specific items (like groceries), or (b) blanket no sales taxes for a specified period of time, until the tariff money is used up. It's not the fairest

There isn’t a federal sales tax. This would be damn near impossible to implement fairly due to variance on the state level. Some states don’t even have a sales tax.

What abt a simple "tax refund check" to adults? It's not the same as a dividend check. It was taxes collected "in access" that should be refunded. IDK how much that might be per adult. (Or) why can't it be appropriated towards school lunch programs, or SNAP, etc.? Corps getting it is so wrong!

I figured details could be worked out, if it was possible (i.e., Feds could disperse $$ to states). ? May be wrong abt this (too), but I think all states have sales tax ~ some are just "indirect" where taxes are included in the retail cost of goods & services. It remains, corps should not get it!
