Greater Oxford has a reasonable rationale, but Abingdon is its trickiest issue. Bicester and Witney are also Oxford-facing but more distant and without a nearby "draw" beyond; Abingdon has Didcot, Harwell, and Milton Park, which Ridgeway couldn't afford to lose. Have to put a line somewhere?
