@governorwalz.mn.gov, no doubt your team is seeing plenty of messages on here asking you for action. Don’t worry, I’m about to pile on. Some want you to use the state’s National Guard or even bring back the Minnesota Home Guard to ensure that ICE cannot operate lawlessly. 1/n

There is coordinated messaging from ICE agents toward observers, not to mention actual detentions and assaults, that suggest they are happy to escalate without provocation (as if Renee Good’s murder wasn’t enough). If you’re not going to stop them, you can at least commit state resources… 3/n

…to ensure that all their crimes are documented for future prosecution in the state of Minnesota. And you can do more still, in the wider theater of conflict. You have a unique opportunity to do some interstate diplomacy and share resources with the other states where democracy still exists. 4/n

Bring us together with the remaining true Union states to place tax funds in escrow, to be paid to the federal government only upon fulfillment of our conditions, beginning with the dissolution of DHS, the firing of every ICE agent, and the prosecution of all who committed or concealed crimes. 5/n
