Go to Europe! Even China, and I'd not expected myself to say that, but it looks like the good old USA wants to step back from the front of science and engineering. Maybe time for others to benefit from US talent

(You'll have to leave again soon though because we've been underfunding our universities for decades, so now most of them can't even replace the Canadian profs who are retiring with Canadian scholars, let alone lure Americans away from high-paying roles at exponentially better-funded institutions)
