They’re athletes. Entertainers. They’re not conning people out of their life savings for products that destroy the environment or corrode society or make people hate each other. It’s about as honest a living as I can imagine. What’s your problem with it?

The 8 richest people on earth could end hunger and homelessness and still live comfortably. Go harass them. Lay off the athletes. They work hard, keeping in shape and practicing. And they do a lot of community activities.

Tell that to the Republicans and Elon!

A product is only worth what somebody is willing to pay for it. If someone thinks a player is worth millions they will pay for it. Not the players fault.

The players are the very best at their jobs in the world and are effectively the product in an industry with unfathomable revenues run by the ultra rich. Critique society for spending so much on sport that the numbers to split get this high, but never fault the players for taking their cut.

Same for politicians and tech billionaires.

That's an awesome display of appreciation for the whole team. These guys have shown a lot of class and basic decency. Chet Holmgren get-well message to Haliburton, too, is an example. A lot of these fellows honor their parents by being thoughtful to others.

I’m in Denver and for giggles I work part time at Ball Arena where the Nuggets play. When we won a couple of years ago it was SO cool! The team was called out to the court one by one to get their rings and the crowd went WILD! It was a GREAT night! Also got my picture taken with the Stanley Cup!
