Loved his nature paintings of landscapes, i remember in the 1990s going to Manchester Met Art Gallery and seeing his America paintings, great vivid colours

What a wonderful, embraceable genius. 💔

Very sad news. But what a marvellous body of work he has left behind.

I worked with Hockney on a mural he had installed in a Midtown NY gallery. I was a theatrical electrician at the time and maintained the automated lighting on the piece was up to his standards. I still can't believe I got paid for that.
