Ok, Helsinki nedwalkies round 1 : random scenes from downtown. Autumn in Finland is the “blink & you’ll miss it” variety so my timing on this trip was solid, the leaf changes have just started at the botanical garden. 🧵

The Tove Jansson park near Uspenski Cathedral. It just got a big revitalization & I’ve not been able to photograph it for two years. She created Moomins, and there’s now a small bronze troll-hippo thingy statue here now too.

Töölö Bay, a small inlet in the middle of the city. Leaves are starting to look nice in the surrounding parks

A waterlilly in the reflecting pond at the botanical garden. It’s been rather rainy and gloomy the first few days after I arrived by my magical weather powers I use for walkies finally regained full strength today

Looking across the bay at the Paasitorni (Helsinki Workers' House, 1908). Finns love Art Noveau & you’ll find plenty

After a few hours the rain clouds returned & I skedaddled back to my hotel, my spell having run out. Don’t worry, I’ll share many more pics the next few weeks! I hope you found this interesting, seeya
