Personal opinion: if you need Slack - pay for a pro version running a community on a free plan with a men-in-black-wipe-memory approach does more harm than good. Go Discord instead.

What's your experience on using Discord instead of Slack. Are there as many people? I started thinking about opening a Discord for the Peering Manager community a few weeks back.
