You're built in Rust and GPU-accelerated, but still manage to be bloated and have memory leaks. Thankfully, there are good forks: gram.liten.app

Isn't that also build in Rust? It will suffer from similar issues if it's using the same codebase.

Rust is a good thing. Same codebase, but with the bloat removed. Compiles in 1/3 the time and uses less memory.

Some of the problems I read from some users are related to the GPU acceleration part.

Not sure, but I mostly use Helix in a terminal for most text editing tasks. In my experience it's still less bad than most GUI text editors.
