Gush incoming. These days I'm a big fantasy, sometimes sci-fi fan, but when I was a kid - I was all about airplanes, especially warplanes. Top Gun came out when I was like 3-4 and one of my first ever memories was going to see it with my dad (he had to take me in order to see it, mom wasn't pleased)

and I became obsessed with warplanes of all kinds. Thankfully, there were lots of warplane movies in the 80s like Iron Eagle, etc. I asked my parents for a LOT of toy warplanes. I've no idea what kids play with now, but back then in addition to the F-14s and 16s there were toys of experimental

and futuristic warplanes as well. I eventually "graduated" to loving these fantasy warplanes and making all kids of cool stories about them. Some had laser cannons and shields and fought UFOs and aliens. Anyways, this piece of art triggered a CORE memory within me and all that nostalgia came

flooding back to me. For a moment I was 8 years old with two futuristic warplanes in my hands going "pew pew" with my cousin. For a moment, unimaginable joy. And you did that, artist. You did that. 🥹 Thank you. ❤️
