I'm back! I've been self-hosting Mastodon on my own domain and homelab for the last month and a half. The only problem is my ISP’s data cap, interacting with accounts from a large servers completely eat up my FUP quota. [1/2]

I'm thinking about forking GTS and add a config to disable the media proxy like Akkoma does. [2/2]

Surprisingly, Mastodon runs incredibly well on my old i3-2330M homelab laptop with only 4GB of RAM, even when connected to the toot.io relay.

toot.iotoot.io - Mastodon toot.io is a fast, mainly english-speaking Mastodon instance.
