For the love of God, stop assuming everyone wants dark themes. Some of us have trouble reading dark themes. It's accessibility and inclusion fail to make things dark-only.

Custom theming à la Zed / Ghostty is becoming increasingly important to me. I find I just really dislike everyone’s theme choices.

Right, I always have but recently I'm seeing an uptick in "pitch black is fine for everyone". Never cared if I could change it, but I rage when I can't.

I have this weird preference, where terminal/emacs is fine with my one custom dark theme while I want every other app looking light as always. Something about traditional GUI and dark mode gives me a headache after reading for even a few minutes.

Today's culprit is GNOME Boxes. You have GNOME in your name, respect my GNOME settings, or at least give me a discoverable option to do so!

(I figured out how to hack around it, it's beside the point, honoring system theme should not require hacking, it should be the default, and failing that, a trivially discovered option.)
